My name is Tom and having previously worked as an engineer in various commercial settings I now have several years of teaching learners in mathematics and engineering subjects at a range of levels.
Having taught learners with difficulties such as ADHD and dyslexia to students from 16 to 38 years old, I understand just how much an asset individual one to one tuition can be.
Learners benefit when they are more able to relate topics to real situations. With industrial and commercial experience I believe I am able convey this wider perspective to them.
Many of my learners are studying or go on to study through the BTEC and C&G pathways whilst in employment. I am familiar with this route to achievement having gone through it myself and then on up to a higher degree level.
Put simply I try to find what motivates a learner, their strengths and weaknesses and then we agree a plan to get to their goals.
